3D microstructure patterning

MEMSLUX utilizes a unique 3D diffuser lithography technique, rather than traditional semiconductor lithography, to design highly precise 3D micro-patterns tailored to your needs that were previously impossible to create with existing technologies. The semiconductor-based MEMS process technology, developed by KAIST and exclusively possessed by MEMSLUX, has been used for 15 years to create distinctive 3D microstructures that offer unprecedented performance in optical components.

3D diffuser lithography involves intentionally inserting an optical diffuser sheet between the UV light source and photomask in the traditional lithography process. This technique allows for the precise creation of various 3D microstructures. By using different types of optical diffusers or adjusting exposure levels, the shape of the microstructures can be easily modified. Additionally, specialized optical simulation programs are used to verify and enhance the uniformity of 3D micro-optical patterns.

MEMSLUX has developed a new light guide plate called the "Magic Lighting Plate" using its advanced 3D micro-pattern manufacturing technology. Unlike traditional light guide plates, which are made using conventional patterning techniques or laser processing that often result in lower precision, limited light output, opacity, and light scattering from both sides, the Magic Lighting Plate features ultra-precise micro-patterns. This innovation allows for greater transparency compared to transparent LCDs, transparent OLEDs, and existing lighting sheets, while also enabling unidirectional, vertical light emission.
